EXTENDED HOME - POUND HILL, CRAWLEY

Ellisdon Architectural Associates were approached by our clients in Crawley to advise on extending and providing a larger open plan kitchen & diner. The house had already been extended so we had to be careful not to think we still had the option to extend under permitted development which would have been rejected on a technicality. Existing public sewers and private drains had to be considered and diverted to make way for the proposed footprint.
"We were recommended by Scott, from Ellisdon Architectural Associates, by a local builder. After an initial free consultation with Scott he gave us some great ideas for our new existing and how to incorporate our kitchen. He clearly explained the process of planning permission, permitted development, drainage consultation and building regulations. Based on this initial discussion, Scott was the obvious choice of architectural designer to instruct. Scott was clear to mention that our particular project would require a householder application, rather then be allowed under permitted development, as we ere extending onto an existing extension. Scott submitted on our behalf which was approved by the planning department without delay. He then moved onto the building regulation stage where he liaised closely with the consulting engineer and statuary bodies to get full approval. The build went all to plan and in line with Scott's clear and articulated plans."
