Believe it or not this stunning dwelling was only 10 years when the owners contacted Ellisdon Architectural Associates to discuss a complete uplift, renovation and substantial extension. The dwelling sits in a sensitive location in the countryside so the design had to be very sympathetic to obtain planning approval. The existing structure is a lattice and modular oak frame and therefore the early design scheme had to ensure that the extension and openings did not adversely impact the existing structure without having a large expense in introducing substantial supporting steel work.
