NEW PHOTOGRAPHY BARN - WARNINGLID
The clients for this particular project were introduced to Ellisdon Architectural Associates via the contractor. The clients requirement was to provide a new photography barn, within the curtilage of the dwelling, to operate a photography business, The site is within the countryside therefore the design and siting of the barn had to be carefully designed to not be considered detrimental to the openness of the countryside. The blend of traditional brick cladding and a curved zinc roof provide an appropriate specification for an agricultural feel but modern use outbuilding within the countryside. Ellisdon Architectural Associates secured planning permission and provided the technical construction package for this attractive structure near Hayward's Heath. The structure was timber frame with 'glulam' rafters carefully located to form the curved roof without the expense of curved engineered steel beams.
